24 Jun Taking An Unconventional Approach: Creating Promotional Video For Pure Storage
Last month, Studio B Films finished producing our third collaboration with Pure Storage. They wanted to capture that same comedic approach which had made our previous work together so successful, but do it using a new and exciting idea.
We needed to keep the energy of our past projects, all the while ensuring we promoted Pure Storage as a premium flash drive provider.
After much exploration, we landed on a contemporary approach which tied in seamlessly with Pure Storage’s brand. Our main inspiration came from the ‘Autotune the News’ remix phenomenon currently spreading on Youtube. The viral “Ain’t Nobody Got Time For That” was a particular favorite.
The shoot took place in the Pure Storage offices and incorporated Pure Storage employees, professional actors and a couple particularly colorful characters.
With the help of our editor and sound mixer, Chris Lohr of Youtube fame, the final footage was cut into a high energy split-screen remix. The end result is something the client loves, and we at the Studio B office can’t get out of our heads!
