05 Mar A Wealth of Knowledge

This past fall, Studio B Films became well-versed in financial planning. Asset Mark hired us to produce a series featuring seventeen financial firms around the country. From Black Rock in San Francisco to J.P. Morgan in New York, and more boutique financial institutions in between, we created 3-minute profiles on each branch. Our main objective was to introduce current and future Asset Mark clients to their financial partners. We wanted to drill down on the management philosophy of each firm while capturing the company culture to help the viewer distinguish what makes each firm unique. By the end of the…

28 Jan Studio B Films Designs for Times Square

It’s not every day that you get use Times Square as your canvas. Charlotte Russe commissioned Studio B Films to produce a multi-screen ad to promote their brand in the heart of Manhattan. We recruited our in-house coordinator, Jessica Ross, to be the Charlotte Russe model, so casting was a breeze. The Red Epic 4K was put to use to create a super high-res image in hyper slow-mo. Then we threw in a whole lot of confetti and a fan. We’re still waiting for the campaign to launch, but in the meantime, check out the mock-ups.

22 Jan Feeling the Joy of Our New 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer

We have added a new tool to our visual storytelling tool kit — the Ronin 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer. And we’re loving it. The stabilizer became a phenomenon about a year ago at NAB. It’s a fantastic way to move the camera through space in ways that were previously impossible. Dan Williams, our in-house digital camera tech and rental manager, mastered the art of operating the Ronin in no time flat. Check out this demo reel we created to show off some of what it can do.

When Red Frog Events asked Studio B Films to produce a video to promote The Warrior Dash World Championship, we jumped in with both feet, and eight cameras.  What could be more fun then filming world class athletes sloshing through an obstacle course in the mud? The Studio B team got to roll up their sleeves, and get down and dirty. Hell yeah, we’ll shoot that video, and we are already talking about doing it again next year.

24 Jun Taking An Unconventional Approach: Creating Promotional Video For Pure Storage

Last month, Studio B Films finished producing our third collaboration with Pure Storage. They wanted to capture that same comedic approach which had made our previous work together so successful, but do it using a new and exciting idea. We needed to keep the energy of our past projects, all the while ensuring we promoted Pure Storage as a premium flash drive provider. After much exploration, we landed on a contemporary approach which tied in seamlessly with Pure Storage’s brand. Our main inspiration came from the ‘Autotune the News’ remix phenomenon currently spreading on Youtube. The viral “Ain’t Nobody Got…

19 Jun Adobe Partners With Studio B Films To Launch Creative Cloud 2014 – Live From NY!

Adobe brought us in to make a stinger video to help kick-off the Creative Cloud 2014 event in New York. They had commissioned some incredible artists to contribute artwork that, when assembled into a mosaic, reveals the shape of their CC logo. This collaborative piece became a framework within which we showcased some of the killer new features in Creative Cloud. Inspired by the mosaic structure, our edit became a fast-paced, split-screen montage with glimpses of amazing art and artists doing great work. We finished the piece with an assembly of the final logo mosaic which transitions to an electrifying…
